Wing and a prayer

Ok, I admit it. I have a thing for cloud formations. This was taken shortly after takeoff on a flight from Vancouver to Toronto.

YVR

I flew to Toronto yesterday and it was a perfect day for flying. The cloud formations at the Vancouver airport were absolutely spectacular.

Into the blue

If you have a sunset that is unspectacular, sometimes all you have to do is look behind you.

Sky path?

I've always been fascinated by jet trails, but it looks as though there is actually a path for the jet to follow in this shot - something I've never seen before. Other than a minor tweak to levels and resizing, I did nothing to this with PhotoShop. The "pathway" was quite visible to the naked eye. Has anyone ever seen this before? If so, do you know what causes it?

Big

You had to be a fool not to notice the wonderful cloud formations we had here on April Fool's day. I caught this shot in Mill Bay, BC, looking east toward the BC Gulf Islands and Washington's San Juan Islands. There's a bit of barrel distortion from the ultra-wide angle lens, but I sitll like the shot.
