Fair Fare

I've been on the road for the past week or so; this is my first posting in a while. This pic was taken at the Westerner Days fairgrounds in Red Deer. A fair just isn't a fair unless you have a corn dog as my daughter and nephew can attest to.

Hooked on effects

I started playing with slow exposure effects a while ago and I think I'm hooked. This was done with a very slow expsure, a remote flash and a laser pointer. I also used a wireless remote to set off the camera, so I really could have used one more arm for this pic.

Double your pleasure

Other than being resized, this shot is straight out of my camera - and I didn't use a multiple exposure setting either. I was experimenting with long exposures in my office a few minutes ago and this is what I got. I think it's cool.

Kick in the balls

What do you do when you're at your daughter's field hockey practice and there isn't enough light to get decent action shots? Well, if you're like me, you shoot what you can.

Zoom trick

I was playing around with long exposures while exploring "the strip" in Las Vegas one night. This is an eight-second exposure of the gondola pool at the Venetian Hotel. As the shot was being exposed, I zoomed out to create the streaking effect.
