Shooting tourists

The last time I was on the ferry from Victoria to Vancouver there was a pod of Orcas just beyond Active Pass, so the whale watching boats were out in full force. Unfortunately, the pod was too far from the ferry's path for me to see anything (even with my 500mm lens), so I shot the tourists instead.

Morning Dew

The early-morning dew drips down the leaves in my friend's garden.

Silver lining

Every cloud has a silver lining, but it's not too often that you can actually see it. This is a view of a passing downpour over Kootenay Lake, shot from the cabin where I stayed for a few days.

Kootenay

From my friend's cabin along Kootenay Lake, the early-morning views are absolutely spectacular - especially on a day like this when there isn't a ripple in the water and the sun has just crested the mountain behind me.

Stunt Dawg

I don't know who this young fellow is, but he really gave me a lot of opportunities to practice action shots at the loacl skateboard/BMX park the other evening.
